Kalanchoes are native to Africa and thrive in arid conditions. They are known for their ease of care, slow growth and interesting leaves and flowers, which bloom consistently throughout the year in as long as they're kept in the sun.
They come in all kinds of varieties and with colourful foliage and flowers in pretty shades like red, pink, yellow, and white.

Your Kalanchoe will be fine in normal household humidity they're not too fussy.
They are toxic to pets and humans, the leaves and flowers of the plant contain a chemical compound called bufadienolide. Nasty.
