The tropical Calathea Argentea is found in Northwest Brazil and is an evergreen in the Marantaceae family. It has large, oval silvery leaves with green edges and purple under sides and stems. A real queen of a plant, oozing character. It thrives in high humidity and is medium difficulty in terms of care.
