Native to tropical rainforests of southern Mexico, this classic large leaved plant with characteristic splits in the leaves is easy to care for and good if you're starting out with plants. Plus it looks really cool in your home and works well as a gift.
Keep him in a bright spot but out of direct sunlight.
Allow the soil to become dry to the touch between watering and feed him once a month with a diluted solution, less in winter.
Misting him, giving him a pebble tray, or placing him near other plants are all good ways to keep him in decent humidity in the home.
Toxic to pets and humans.
Top Tip: Keep your cheese plant standing tall with one of our moss poles if it gets unruly and the stems start to bend
